Tony Stewart Racing Set To Celebrate 50 Years at Knoxville Raceway

Tony Stewart Racing’s Steve Kinser and Donny Schatz, along with Sprint car racing’s finest, will race the legendary dirt track at Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway in celebration of 50 years of racing at the Knoxville Nationals. The Knoxville Nationals is the largest four day Sprint car race in the world attracting the best Winged Sprint car drivers and race fans from all over the world. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of this prestigious event, the 2010 race will feature a 50-lap A-main race.

Tony Stewart Racing’s team is set to unveil commemorative paint schemes, dubbed “The Gold Standard”, as a tribute to the historic event on Tuesday, August 10th at 12pm in front of the main grandstands.

Steve Kinser, a 12-time Knoxville Nationals champion, will be making his 34th appearance at the event. In a recent interview, Kinser said, “It’s a special race, so we’re excited to be able to run something a little different. The car itself is just like the regular car we run, but it’ll be quite a bit shinier. It will be fun for our sponsors, Bass Pro Shops and J.D. Byrider, as well as, the fans to have something different to watch.”

Donny Schatz, a four-time and reigning champion of the Knoxville Nationals said, “If you could win one race in your entire career, it would definitely be the Knoxville Nationals. It is Sprint car racing’s version of the Super Bowl. The paint schemes we’re going to run this year are really our salute to the Knoxville Nationals event as a whole.”

Tony Stewart Foundation Announced New Program With The American Heart Association

Two-time NASCAR champion Tony Stewart launched the “Start! Your Engines…It’s All About Heart” program on Thursday, July 23rd at O’Reilly Raceway Park prior to the J.D. Byrider 100. Tony Stewart Foundation Executive Director, Joni Thompson, and Tony Stewart himself announced the new program that joins the American Heart Association, Tony Stewart Foundation and J.D. Byrider in an effort to encourage participation in the Start! Heart Walk. The Start! Heart Walk is the signature fundraising event for the American Heart Association, promoting physical activity and heart-healthy living in a fun, family environment. The event is scheduled to take place on Sept. 18 at White River State Park and is expected to attract 8,000 participants and raise $900,000 for the American Heart Association.


Josiah Scheller, 9, (pictured above) is a third grader from Evansville, Indiana, who has a rare congenital heart defect and is under evaluation for a tricuspid valve replacement. Scheller is currently waiting for a service dog from Indiana Canine Assistant Network (ICAN). Bailey Hunsberger, 18, (also pictured above) is a recent high school graduate, who has had five open-heart surgeries. Both Scheller and Hunsberger are scheduled to captain walking teams for the Heart Walk.

Tickets For Red River Valley Speedway Late Model Race Selling Fast

Tickets for the June 23rd late model race in West Fargo, MD went on sale Saturday, May 15th and have been selling at lightning speeds. Over 4,000 tickets were sold on the first day for a track that seats 8,000 fans. So, what’s the big draw? The race at Red River Valley Speedway will be featuring Tony Stewart, a two-time NASCAR Champion and JD Byrider sponsor.

Tony Stewart to Drive Dirt Late Model at Paducah International Raceway

Two- time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion, Tony Stewart, will race tonight (April 22, 2010) at Paducah International Raceway. He will be driving the No. 14 J.D. Byrider/Chevy/ Rayburn Dirt Late Model for Steve Barnett Racing. This will be his first Dirt Late Model race in the 2010 season at the WKYQ 93.3 FM “Night of NASCAR Stars”.

“I had a great time racing with Steve Barnett and the J.D. Byrider group last year at Paducah. Hopefully, we’ll end up in the winner’s circle like we did last year”, Stewart said. “Steve Barnett and I have been friends and racing partners for many years. Having everyone from J.D. Byrider with us last year for the win was great. They’ve been a great partner to me over the years and I’m proud to represent their brand.” Barnett, his teammate and car owner for the event, carries J.D. High-Speed Drama Awaits Tony Stewart Racing

An action-packed weekend in the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series at Volunteer Speedway is expected for Donny Schatz and Steve Kinser, drivers for Tony Stewart Racing. Volunteer Speedway features 32 degree banking at the corners of the track, making for some fast speed and exciting action. J.D. Byrider Offers Fans the Chance to Win Tony Stewart Racing Tickets

J.D. Byrider is pleased to announce Tony Stewart fans will have the opportunity to win tickets to see Tony Stewart compete live at Paducah International Raceway’s NASCAR Night II in Paducah, KY on Thursday, June 30th.

On Wednesday, July 29, at the J.D. Byrider dealership in Owensboro, KY. From 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., fans can view the #14 J.D. Byrider Chevy Monte Carlo dirt late model that Stewart will drive Thursday night at Paducah International Raceway. They can win tickets to that race. Tony Stewart has been a part of the J.D. Byrider team since 1997, when J.D. Byrider began sponsoring a stock dirt late model car, which Stewart drives a couple of times a year. Since the J.D. Tony Stewart wins in debut of J.D. Byrider Racing dirt late model car

Two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion Tony Stewart took time out from his busy schedule to compete in a UMP Super Late Model event at Paducah International Raceway on Thursday, April 23. Stewart, along with J.D.

Byrider Racing team mate Steve Barnett, both ran well that evening, finishing first and third respectively in their early heat race. In the 25-lap feature, Stewart took the lead on lap one and proceeded to lead every lap. “It’s good to get a win at this track and in

this car,” Stewart said. “We’ve been close a couple of times before and tonight we got it.”

Barnett worked his way up from fifth to third, but was slowed by lapped traffic on the final lap and wound up fifth. “I’m excited about the way our J.D. Byrider team cars ran tonight,” Barnett said. I should’ve had third, but this effort will make the drive home a lot happier.”

World of Outlaws Star Met Fans on April 9

On April 3, 2009, Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Kraig Kinser appeared at the J.D. Byrider in Tyler, Texas

Kinser was in the area for the World of Outlaws event at Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore on April 10.  Kinser was  joined at the J.D. Byrider store by the crew of his TSR No. 20 Bass Pro Shops/Chevy/J.D. Byrider Maxim as well as the crew of the TSR No. 15 Armor All/Chevy/ParkerStore J&J driven by three-time and defending WoO champion Donny Schatz.

Kinser signed autographs and took photos with customers during the visit. Both TSR race haulers were on location and open for public view allowing fans an up-close look at the 1375-pound/800-plus horsepower racecars.

Kinser and his TSR teammate, Donny Schatz, will lead the Outlaws in their first race at Lone Star Speedway since March 2004. In their last appearance at the track Kinser finished third and Schatz fourth at the half-mile dirt oval.

J.D. Byrider, the nation’s largest used car and finance franchise, will continue its 12-year relationship with TSR during the 2009 season.
