Tony Stewart Racing’s Kraig Kinser Continue Outlaws’ Gold Rush Tour in Alberta
With this weekend’s World of Outlaws (WoO) third annual Oil City Cup comes another opportunity for Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Kraig Kinser. The 24-year-old Kinser is in the midst of his second season driving the TSR No. 20 Bass Pro Shops/Chevy/J.D. Byrider Maxim, and both of his WoO wins in the car came 46 degrees north of the equator or higher. This weekend’s stop at Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta, marks the northernmost stop on the WoO odyssey this season.
Kinser will compete at the track both Friday and Saturday. Kinser and the Bass Pro Shops team have completed 50 nights of racing on the Outlaws 2009 schedule. The Mooresville, N.C., resident has scored nine top-five finishes and 25 top-10s. He currently ranks ninth in the WoO Sprint Series championship standings with 6,171 points.
Friday at Castrol, the pit gates open at 2 p.m. MDT and grandstands open at 4 p.m. Saturday, the pit gates and grandstands open at 2 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. both nights.
