J.D. Byrider Albuquerque Sponsors 2009 Special Olympics Summer Games
Always looking for ways to help the community, J.D. Byrider sponsored and served as the official timer for all running events at the 2009 Special Olympics New Mexico State Summer Games. At this year’s Games, approximately 1,000 athletes participated in cycling, track & field, bocce, gymnastics, and volleyball, which is a reason to celebrate.
Mike Sandoval, J.D. Byrider General Manager, supports this organization throughout the year, and has done so for the past 17 years.
“When people get involved in Special Olympics, they leave with a greater sense of gratitude and a deeper sense of purpose. They leave having become a part of a larger family who find reasons to celebrate in times of struggle. And finally, people leave Special Olympics with a feeling deep in their soul that tells them that by sharing themselves with those less fortunate, they have made their corner of the world a better place,” said Sandoval.
